Scarborough AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vince Burgess was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Crowther breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Chivas Athletic FC - UK booed when Scarborough AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Huckerby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conal Hamilton's late challenge caught a Scarborough AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conal Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. Conal Hamilton kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Chivas Athletic FC - UK defense, Graeme Farrow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Crowther. The Chivas Athletic FC - UK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Crowther should have stopped the shot. After 34 played minutes, Chivas Athletic FC - UK's Dom Etherington shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Shane Portway came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivas Athletic FC - UK reached it. After 36 minutes, Graeme Farrow made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Chivas Athletic FC - UK's David Crowther tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alastair Giugno hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. David Crowther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vince Burgess, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Scarborough AFC's Shane Portway proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Scarborough AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute Graeme Farrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Crowther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Scarborough AFC's Shane Portway got control of the ball when Oscar Kershaw tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Hales in the 82nd minute of play forced Scarborough AFC's goalkeeper Shane Portway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Oscar Kershaw notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Scarborough AFC's Shane Portway. Shane Portway was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
