He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jorg Gerhold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rannal McTom in the 5th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Dermot Holt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drommahane AF and the VfL Blau Weiß players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sören Gewalt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartley Colwell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Ailín McStephen lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Jorg Gerhold. In the 17th minute Rannal McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorg Gerhold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ailín McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorg Gerhold having to interfere. Drommahane AF's attentive Dermot Holt managed to snatch the ball when Helmut Wallner made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. If Rannal McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Drommahane AF's Bercnan Grant slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorg Gerhold. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 30th minute, Tadhg Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 minutes of play, VfL Blau Weiß's Simon Schulzki made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bartley Colwell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ailín McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorg Gerhold having to interfere. If Tadhg Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, VfL Blau Weiß was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Schulzki to maneuver through the defense. Rannal McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jorg Gerhold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Welf Surkemper made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Rannal McTom made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. VfL Blau Weiß's Jorg Gerhold tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Biddy Ramsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drommahane AF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Blau Weiß the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal McTom in the 61st minute of play forced VfL Blau Weiß's goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Drommahane AF's Rannal McTom in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VfL Blau Weiß's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Drommahane AF's Tadhg Murphy got a free kick in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Helmut Wallner during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rannal McTom took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorg Gerhold. Jorg Gerhold dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Jorg Gerhold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rannal McTom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Rannal McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorg Gerhold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pearse McSteven fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drommahane AF's protests and gave Pearse McSteven a yellow card for diving instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Drommahane AF fully deserved thier win.
