Sören Gewalt in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mickey Naisbitt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jorg Gerhold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Way, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Richard Lindley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorg Gerhold was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, VfL Blau Weiß's Welf Surkemper dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. VfL Blau Weiß:s Jorg Gerhold showed great skill when he stopped Les Calder:s penalty. Mickey Naisbitt made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Sören Gewalt sent off a good shot on target. After 35 played minutes, Maidstone United AFC's Les Calder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maidstone United AFC reached it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Welf Surkemper made a kick off. Marcus Rose hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Mickey Naisbitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudius Thumser, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jorg Gerhold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Lindley in the 60th minute of the match. Jorg Gerhold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Lindley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Jorg Gerhold successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 83rd minute Richard Lindley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorg Gerhold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match, Richard Lindley tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jorg Gerhold saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mickey Naisbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Gewalt in the 87th minute of play. Maidstone United AFC's Mickey Naisbitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Welf Surkemper in the 91st minute of play. Simon Schulzki kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jorg Gerhold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Lindley in the 95th minute of play. The Maidstone United AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maidstone United AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
