Hauge Brokær didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terry Haffner's late challenge caught a New York Cosmos AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terry Haffner helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Terry Haffner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Benjamin Edmonton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Soubak was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 13th minute, Flemming Jorsø ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Newbury was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, Gwyn Blacksmith was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York Cosmos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kewl FC the free kick. Gwyn Blacksmith kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvardt Molsing in the 19th minute of play forced New York Cosmos AFC's goalkeeper Paul Newbury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Flemming Jorsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Newbury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Kewl FC's Pedro Soubak got control of the ball when Pete Rundle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gwyn Blacksmith got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Pete Rundle sped through Kewl FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Soubak. Pete Rundle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pete Rundle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Soubak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pete Rundle to strike the kick off in the second half. Harry Fisk kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Pete Rundle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvardt Molsing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Pete Rundle sped through Kewl FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Soubak. Paul Newbury made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flemming Jorsø in the 67th minute. Pete Rundle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Rundle in the 73rd minute of play forced Kewl FC's goalkeeper Pedro Soubak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, New York Cosmos AFC's Pete Rundle tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Benjamin Edmonton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Kewl FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Rundle came free, but Pedro Soubak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New York Cosmos AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
