The supporters of FC Partizan Minsk booed when VfL Blau Weiß was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Schulzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorg Gerhold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Chegwyn in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Stefan Chegwyn rounded VfL Blau Weiß's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After some careless play in the FC Partizan Minsk defense, Sören Gewalt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jamal Weatherhead. The FC Partizan Minsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jamal Weatherhead should have stopped the shot. FC Partizan Minsk's Jamal Weatherhead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudius Thumser in the 16th minute of play. Jamal Weatherhead took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Schulzki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Partizan Minsk's Jeff Hart got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rowan Bacon kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 25thth minute. Though ot was a great shot VfL Blau Weiß's keeper Jorg Gerhold was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 29 minutes into the match, FC Partizan Minsk's goal looked a bit too open when Welf Surkemper came free, but Jamal Weatherhead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes VfL Blau Weiß got a freekick which was hit by Moritz Diers. In the 37th minute of the match Peter Chipperfield shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorg Gerhold showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rowan Bacon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 41st playminute. Simon Schulzki struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jamal Weatherhead didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfL Blau Weiß. In the 47th minute, Hagen Klein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rowan Bacon got free with Jorg Gerhold in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Justin Seal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamal Weatherhead made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sören Gewalt in the 57th minute. Jorg Gerhold didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Chegwyn went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 72ndth minute of the game Stefan Chegwyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VfL Blau Weiß's Jorg Gerhold was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jamal Weatherhead made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sören Gewalt in the 74th minute. Stefan Chegwyn scored 4-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorg Gerhold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th match minute, VfL Blau Weiß was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Swiatek to maneuver through the defense. Jorg Gerhold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowan Bacon in the 91st minute of play. Jorg Gerhold came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Partizan Minsk's Stefan Chegwyn. But to his dismay, Stefan Chegwyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the VfL Blau Weiß players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Partizan Minsk.
