After a defensive mix-up in Maidstone United AFC's zone, Salah Nagy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickey Naisbitt came out of the goal and Salah Nagy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salah Nagy to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fareed Hosny made a precise shot to the right of Mickey Naisbitt. Maidstone United AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salah Nagy in the 57th minute of play forced Maidstone United AFC's goalkeeper Mickey Naisbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mike Way had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Maidstone United AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kocaelispor's performance. The match ended with a win for Kocaelispor.
