Mickey Naisbitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drommahane AF. A collision led to Maidstone United AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mike Way hit a great ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Drommahane AF's goalkeeper Bartley Colwell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rannal McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mickey Naisbitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rannal McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rannal McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes in the game Pearse McSteven did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rannal McTom. Mickey Naisbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rannal McTom in the 36th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Drommahane AF's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Way came free, but Bartley Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Tadhg Murphy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Mickey Naisbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rannal McTom in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadhg Murphy in the 62nd minute of play forced Maidstone United AFC's goalkeeper Mickey Naisbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Lindley took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartley Colwell. Bartley Colwell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tadhg Murphy scored 2-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mickey Naisbitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Pearse McSteven in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Maidstone United AFC's Les Calder. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal McTom in the 76th minute of play forced Maidstone United AFC's goalkeeper Mickey Naisbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drommahane AF were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Maidstone United AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Biddy Ramsey took the corner. After taking down the ball on Drommahane AF's corner Biddy Ramsey fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mickey Naisbitt quite easily take care of the ball. Bartley Colwell was a little too slow when Mike Way got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 85th minute Rannal McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Naisbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickey Naisbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rannal McTom in the 88th minute of the match. The Drommahane AF fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Drommahane AF's Rannal McTom looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
