Isak Jacobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Xacintu in the 12th minute of play. Digital Monsterz FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Birger Spetz in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Özkut in the 18th minute of play forced Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isak Jacobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Anıl Özkut managed to get in a good position for a shot. Digital Monsterz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anıl Özkut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yahia van der Saar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anıl Özkut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Yahia van der Saar made a huge save. Damaso Xacintu took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isak Jacobsson. Isak Jacobsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Digital Monsterz FC's Isak Jacobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Xacintu in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Clayton Gol's late challenge caught a Digital Monsterz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clayton Gol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Clayton Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Sheriff's zone, Damazy Polek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yahia van der Saar came out of the goal and Damazy Polek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damazy Polek scored 4-3 in the 104th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yahia van der Saar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sheriff's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
