Tomé da Silva was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. After 4 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Tomé da Silva. Jamie Slegers struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Fırat Aytekin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hisingstads BK. In the 5th minute of the match, Jamie Slegers got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fırat Aytekin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tor Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Marques in the 6th minute of play. Tor Holm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor Holm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Tor Holm came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Nildo Rosa. But to his dismay, Nildo Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hisingstads BK's Erik Friberg was substituted for Gabriel Loyarte. In the 32nd minute, Matias Svahn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fırat Aytekin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Kruse in the 39th minute of play. S.C. Fırat Aytekin was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Anders Kruse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anders Kruse really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anders Kruse to make the kick off. S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doğuhan Alpaslan couldn't finish the play. In the 61st match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Rosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Nildo Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Szymon Parzysz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fırat Aytekin. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Szymon Parzysz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. S.C. Corinthians Paulista made a substitution. Valdecir Carlos replaced Edgard de Lima. Szymon Parzysz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The corner ended in Doğuhan Alpaslan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hisingstads BK's Tor Holm did a great save. 87 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Friberg came free, but Fırat Aytekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
