Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Damas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vítor Damas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sataporn Snabl in the 27th minute of play. Vítor Damas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sataporn Snabl, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rui Sá's late challenge caught a KIA KAHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Sá helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of KIA KAHA booed when Esquadrão Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 45 minutes Esquadrão Lusitano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karl-Erik Lind who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on KIA KAHA's corner Karl-Henry Roos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Damas quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esquadrão Lusitano's zone, Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Damas came out of the goal and Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Esquadrão Lusitano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KIA KAHA were winning 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Sá to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as KIA KAHA's Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor Damas. That made the score 1-5 after 53 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Palmiro Cordeiro during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zdzislaw Rydzewski struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Vítor Damas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KIA KAHA. KIA KAHA made a substitution. Daniel Glanselius replaced Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos. Vítor Damas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Glanselius, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Glanselius in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Damas saved Esquadrão Lusitano from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Daniel Glanselius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vítor Damas. The goal made the score 1-6. After 83 minutes, Daniel Glanselius made it 1-8 with a short kick to the right side. Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Daniel Glanselius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Damas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-9. In the 89th minute, Daniel Glanselius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The corner led KIA KAHA's Karl-Erik Lind to fire away a dangerous shot which Vítor Damas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

When the final whistle sounded KIA KAHA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Esquadrão Lusitano.
