After 18 played minutes FC Kurdistan got a freekick which was hit by Lars Bammerman. 24 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Bammerman came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Bammerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Selatse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Bammerman ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Bammerman in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Selatse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

FC Kurdistan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erhard Esbo in the 88th minute. The corner led FC Kurdistan's Carlos-Alberto Bayona to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernando Selatse despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lars Sundström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Fernando Selatse when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Iwan Kasiewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Fernando Selatse made a huge save. After 93 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alaaddin Solskjær was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Ivănescu to maneuver through the defense. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. FC Kurdistan's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Despidida AFC had won, even though FC Kurdistan had held more of the ball.
