Spectators: 594 (Terracing: 447, Seating: 136, VIP seats: 11) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tiberiu Caramarin got the match started through his kick off. Mihăiţă Ilarie's late challenge caught a Surahammar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihăiţă Ilarie helped the player get up and apologised. Mihăiţă Ilarie kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 5 minutes of play, MIT's Florin Seremet made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Lindström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Vincent Benett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Surahammar's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Benett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Madgearu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Radu Sărăroiu hit a great ball. Vincent Benett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Calistrat Madgearu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Surahammar's Jan Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute Vincent Benett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Lindström. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Caramarin in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Lindström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute of the match MIT got a corner. Surahammar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihăiţă Ilarie ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dorin Banu made a great header on MIT's corner, it was just that Surahammar's Jan Lindström managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 38th minute, Mihăiţă Ilarie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Banu in the 40th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincent Benett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Lindström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Wallman to maneuver through the defense. MIT made a substitution. David Tunander replaced Dorin Banu. A collision led to Surahammar getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Markus Wallman hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Ivan Vâtcă threw the ball into play from the sideline. Surahammar's Markus Wallman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. MIT's Bogdan Bucataru was substituted for Mihăiţă Ilarie. A sloppy throw-in by Nicodim Orășan in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Surahammar's Virgil Van Dijk. Radamel Oakley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the match, MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radamel Oakley. If Tiberiu Caramarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radamel Oakley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calistrat Madgearu having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radamel Oakley got free with Calistrat Madgearu in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 93 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Markus Wallman. MIT's Aurel Buzea was substituted for Florin Seremet. In the 94th match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Wallman to maneuver through the defense.
