Marco van Basten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Benicio Javiero made a huge save. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velimir Bostandzhiev in the 26th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Freddy Restu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niculae Romanescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rodrigo Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Romanescu having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Benicio Javiero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco van Basten in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ireneusz Jeleń in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benicio Javiero saved Atlético Nuevo Laredo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ireneusz Jeleń in the 55th minute of play forced Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Benicio Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60thth minute of the game Ireneusz Jeleń who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Benicio Javiero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marco van Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Javiero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match CWKS KĘDZIERZYN got a corner. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kamilo Glik ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Ireneusz Jeleń to fire away a dangerous shot which Benicio Javiero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Ireneusz Jeleń put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Benicio Javiero. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN made a substitution. Dragan Cheresharski replaced Klement Makarewicz. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco van Basten in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goal looked a bit too open when Robertas Lewandowski came free, but Benicio Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Nuevo Laredo booed when CWKS KĘDZIERZYN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Velimir Bostandzhiev didn't get a good kick on the ball.
