FC LIVERPOOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olly Morgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Ashley Wiseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC LIVERPOOL were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Alianza Trujillo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diogo Godin took the corner. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olly Morgan was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute of the match, Jamal Higgins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomas Brandt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelito Vivar in the 61st minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Tommy Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Marcelito Vivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alianza Trujillo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Szilveszter Szegh in the 75th minute. Tommy Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pudes Vilas in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC LIVERPOOL defense, Marcelito Vivar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Thompson. The FC LIVERPOOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Thompson should have stopped the shot. Tommy Thompson came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Alianza Trujillo's Cayetano Montez. But to his dismay, Cayetano Montez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Tommy Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pudes Vilas in the 84th minute of play. Atak Ferdi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Tomas Brandt made a huge save. Tomas Brandt made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Jonny Fingers sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute of the match Szilveszter Szegh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Thompson skillfully saved the ball.

Alianza Trujillo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
