In the 11th minute Celestino Maggiora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moreno Langarica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Angel Rico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diamante Negro FC and the Carrizal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Diamante Negro FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Angel Rico hit a great ball. Diamante Negro FC's Aurelio Abeitia got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Celestino Maggiora notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Diamante Negro FC's Moreno Langarica. Moreno Langarica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Chavarria came free, but Moreno Langarica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Hurtado came free, but Moreno Langarica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilson Gadea during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Esteban Chavarria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Blanco Santa's late challenge caught a Carrizal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blanco Santa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Carrizal FC booed when Diamante Negro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanco Santa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menéndez Dohrmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Bellmunt in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Diamante Negro FC's Angel Rico got a free kick in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Bellmunt was the one to do the kick off. If Fabian Bellmunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Carrizal FC's zone, Fabian Bellmunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Menéndez Dohrmann came out of the goal and Fabian Bellmunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Bellmunt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Menéndez Dohrmann having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, Carrizal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Bellmunt came free, but Menéndez Dohrmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Carrizal FC got a freekick which was hit by José Alberto Carrizo. The supporters of Carrizal FC booed when Diamante Negro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Abeitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moreno Langarica acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Juan Carlos Olivos. 76 minutes into the game, Diamante Negro FC's Fleitas Arambula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Menéndez Dohrmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 87 minutes of play, Diamante Negro FC's Fabian Bellmunt made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Menéndez Dohrmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diamante Negro FC's Moreno Langarica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Chavarria in the 91st minute of play. Fabian Bellmunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moreno Langarica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Chavarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carrizal FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
