The ampute fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Namık Civan should have stopped the shot. After the first half Fenerbahçe were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rafet Ilgınlı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Namık Civan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şeray Tunçtürk during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arslan Sahadettin charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arslan Sahadettin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over Fenerbahçe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ampute throughout the match.
