In the 14th minute Werner Grund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Darryl Simpson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sin City 73's Hans Peukert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sin City 73's zone, Darryl Simpson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Peukert came out of the goal and Darryl Simpson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes, Sin City 73's Henrik Apperger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Louie Hicks came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sin City 73 reached it. 26 minutes into the game, Sin City 73's Werner Grund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Louie Hicks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuno Bährmann in the 32nd minute of play. If Darryl Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Peukert made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Darryl Simpson sent off a good shot on target. Conan Blake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hans Peukert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sin City 73's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Darryl Simpson 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kuno Bährmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuno Bährmann in the 53rd minute of the match. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuno Bährmann in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Kuno Bährmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sin City 73's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kuno Bährmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans Peukert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Garrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, David Horrer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Louie Hicks, 3-2. A collision led to Wakefield Wanderers getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Leon Slater hit a great ball. Werner Grund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Louie Hicks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sin City 73 booed when Wakefield Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Duffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wakefield Wanderers's zone, Kuno Bährmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Hicks came out of the goal and Kuno Bährmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Werner Grund got free with Louie Hicks in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alastair Quantrill struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Hans Peukert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wakefield Wanderers. In the 86th minute, Alastair Quantrill made a precise shot to the right of Hans Peukert. Sin City 73's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darryl Simpson in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Peukert saved Sin City 73 from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ron Garrett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wakefield Wanderers's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron Garrett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Peukert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darryl Simpson struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Hans Peukert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wakefield Wanderers. Wakefield Wanderers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
