In the 8th minute Rafet Ilgınlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Sykes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksander Zapolski kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Kristian Sykes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aşkın Çinucen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rafet Ilgınlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Lewis Inman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes, Diego Caiado made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Troyes FC's Kristian Sykes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Farrell in the 38th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Atilla Kağan Hastimur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Cambridge made a great header on Troyes FC's corner, it was just that Fenerbahçe's Atilla Kağan Hastimur managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Diego Caiado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristian Sykes was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Troyes FC's zone, Aşkın Çinucen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Sykes came out of the goal and Aşkın Çinucen tried to chip the ball over his head. Atilla Kağan Hastimur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duncan Farrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Diego Caiado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kristian Sykes, 1-4. Rafet Ilgınlı, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
