Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Paetz in the 4th minute of play. If Ron Garrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 6thth minute of the game Darryl Simpson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but No Face Samus's Josías Lecuna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Josías Lecuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Garrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. César Celada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Louie Hicks made a huge save. Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Wakefield Wanderers from getting a goal against them. Albino Fevre scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Louie Hicks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If César Celada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Jeff Duffy fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wakefield Wanderers's protests and gave Jeff Duffy a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Wakefield Wanderers's Jeff Duffy got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wakefield Wanderers's zone, Albino Fevre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Hicks came out of the goal and Albino Fevre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Paetz in the 27th minute of play forced Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wakefield Wanderers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Aurelio Paetz scored to the left of an out of position Louie Hicks, making the score, 2-1. If Darryl Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louie Hicks was a little too slow when Aurelio Paetz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-1. Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Fevre in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darryl Simpson was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Darryl Simpson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josías Lecuna was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 52nd match minute, No Face Samus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Ruminas to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Albino Fevre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Wakefield Wanderers booed when No Face Samus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Paetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 63rd minute of the match Jeff Duffy completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jeff Duffy a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jeff Duffy kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Albino Fevre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josías Lecuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Simpson, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes No Face Samus got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Mosca. In the 73rd minute, César Celada made a precise shot to the right of Louie Hicks. Wakefield Wanderers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After 81 minutes of play, No Face Samus's Albino Fevre made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Louie Hicks was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathon Rushforth kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. César Celada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Hicks having to make a save. Josías Lecuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Simpson in the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Albino Fevre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Louie Hicks was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After 95 played minutes No Face Samus got a freekick which was hit by Baudelio Bettini. If Darryl Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alastair Quantrill got free with Josías Lecuna in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
