Mutlu Ulutan made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Carl Dodgson sent off a good shot on target. After 10 minutes of play, Troyes FC's Carl Dodgson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mutlu Ulutan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Battal Sebil hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Gaziantep was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menderes Menderes to maneuver through the defense. Battal Sebil lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Gaziantep getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Battal Sebil hit a great ball. Mutlu Ulutan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carl Dodgson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. Acun Omural received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Kristian Sykes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Menderes Menderes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carl Dodgson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Farrell in the 39th minute of play forced Gaziantep's goalkeeper Mutlu Ulutan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cliff Whittington kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mutlu Ulutan. That made the score 3-1 in the 42 minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Mike Hunter could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Mutlu Ulutan however easily saved by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Duncan Farrell made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Mike Hunter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Troyes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaziantep the free kick. During the 56th minute of the match Mike Hunter completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mike Hunter a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gaziantep's Mutlu Ulutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Farrell in the 59th minute of play. Cliff Whittington scored 4-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mutlu Ulutan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aras Görkem Seyidhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Cliff Whittington ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mutlu Ulutan was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Troyes FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
