After having played for 10 minutes, Darryl Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakefield Wanderers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Simpson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darryl Simpson took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinícius Schmidt. Vinícius Schmidt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Darryl Simpson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Schmidt having to interfere. In the 19th minute Alastair Quantrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim do Valle in the 20th minute of play. corre ou morrer were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Wakefield Wanderers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernandão Breckenfeld took the corner. Darryl Simpson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Jeff Duffy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wakefield Wanderers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave corre ou morrer the free kick. Jeff Duffy hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Vinícius Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darryl Simpson went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Conan Blake kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darryl Simpson struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Vinícius Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wakefield Wanderers. corre ou morrer's Marcelinho Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, corre ou morrer's Louie Hicks threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelinho Moura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Wakefield Wanderers's Darryl Simpson in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye corre ou morrer's goalie prevented a goal. Conan Blake charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conan Blake the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Louie Hicks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafim do Valle made a kick off. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim do Valle in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Saldanha in the 57th minute of play forced Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandão Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Wakefield Wanderers got a corner. corre ou morrer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kristian Tanner ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Wakefield Wanderers's Kristian Tanner to fire away a dangerous shot which Vinícius Schmidt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 67th minute, Nial Sherman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão Breckenfeld in the 68th minute of the match. Ron Garrett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jeff Duffy was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. The supporters of corre ou morrer booed when Wakefield Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Duffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandão Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Wakefield Wanderers's Kristian Tanner tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 81stth minute of the game Serafim do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim do Valle in the 83rd minute of play. Darryl Simpson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vinícius Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Renan Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Kristian Tanner from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Vinícius Schmidt's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Darryl Simpson's late challenge caught a corre ou morrer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darryl Simpson helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Wakefield Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Darryl Simpson. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim do Valle in the 92nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Serafim do Valle sped through Wakefield Wanderers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Louie Hicks. The corre ou morrer fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wakefield Wanderers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
