Gaziantep were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Inter FC Torino's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nedim Batırhan took the corner. Mutlu Ulutan made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Crispin Coulson sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the game, Menderes Menderes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaziantep's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter FC Torino the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Gaziantep was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menderes Menderes to maneuver through the defense. Mutlu Ulutan was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Crispin Coulson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Crispin Coulson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 31st minute Johnathon Cousens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mutlu Ulutan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mutlu Ulutan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Rhodes in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Acun Omural managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaziantep's supporters rose to their feet, but Acun Omural was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 52nd minute Crispin Coulson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mutlu Ulutan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaziantep's Mutlu Ulutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jay Beattie in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Coulson in the 60th minute of play forced Gaziantep's goalkeeper Mutlu Ulutan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Gaziantep defense, Pierre Rhodes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mutlu Ulutan. The Gaziantep fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mutlu Ulutan should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Inter FC Torino getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre Rhodes in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mutlu Ulutan saved Gaziantep from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Bellamy in the 94th minute of play forced Gaziantep's goalkeeper Mutlu Ulutan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Inter FC Torino's Stew Poynton got a free kick in the 95th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Gaziantep's Nedim Batırhan tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Inter FC Torino walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
