César Celada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louie Hicks read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, No Face Samus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Mosca to maneuver through the defense. Conan Blake charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When César Celada came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the No Face Samus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Celada couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, César Celada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Louie Hicks. Wakefield Wanderers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Celada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Darryl Simpson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Josías Lecuna made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, César Celada notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks. Louie Hicks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Celada in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks got control of the ball when Aurelio Paetz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Louie Hicks made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when César Celada sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Wakefield Wanderers defense, Aurelio Paetz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Louie Hicks. The Wakefield Wanderers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Louie Hicks should have stopped the shot. Nial Sherman hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Josías Lecuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alastair Quantrill in the 66th minute of play. Louie Hicks was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurelio Paetz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 67 minute of play. Josías Lecuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Simpson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Albino Fevre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Mosca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louie Hicks having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded No Face Samus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wakefield Wanderers.
