With a little luck, Sin City 73's Hans Peukert got control of the ball when Carl Dodgson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sin City 73's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Duncan Farrell 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Kristian Sykes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kuno Bährmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Troyes FC's Kristian Sykes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Grund in the 34th minute of play. Hans Peukert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carl Dodgson in the 35th minute. Duncan Farrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Peukert having to interfere. Duncan Farrell struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Hans Peukert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Troyes FC. If Carl Dodgson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Troyes FC got a freekick which was hit by Lance Cambridge. Irmin Kühlem took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kristian Sykes. Troyes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Hans Peukert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Farrell in the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 52 minutes, Carl Dodgson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Troyes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Dodgson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sin City 73's Wendelin Weyand got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sin City 73's zone, Duncan Farrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Peukert came out of the goal and Duncan Farrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Werner Grund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kristian Sykes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans Peukert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Farrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sepp Bärwolf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Dodgson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Troyes FC booed when Sin City 73 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sepp Bärwolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Troyes FC's Carl Dodgson got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78thth minute of the game Kuno Bährmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Troyes FC's Kristian Sykes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kristian Sykes had great luck who in the 85thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kuno Bährmann from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Lewis Inman took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Peukert. Hans Peukert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Troyes FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
