In the 6th minute Donato Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Topham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toby Topham came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Taquaral Campineiro's Geraldo de Godoi. But to his dismay, Geraldo de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huey Hughes in the 12th minute of play forced Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Blair McCormick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blair McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crispin Hepburn in the 18th minute of the match. A hard shot by Waldemar Baptista from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Toby Topham's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Hughes in the 22nd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, K.S.V Waregem's goalkeeper Toby Topham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo de Godoi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Steven got free with Toby Topham in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taquaral Campineiro's Blair McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Hughes in the 34th minute of play. Toby Topham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Donatello in the 36th minute of the match. Armando Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toby Topham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Taquaral Campineiro's zone, Huey Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blair McCormick came out of the goal and Huey Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. K.S.V Waregem's Toby Topham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save K.S.V Waregem from getting a goal against them. With his leg Toby Topham managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Taquaral Campineiro's Geraldo de Godoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 45 minutes of play, Taquaral Campineiro's Geraldo de Godoi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toby Topham was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Taquaral Campineiro's Blair McCormick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Taquaral Campineiro from getting a goal against them. After 53 minutes Taquaral Campineiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matty Bridge who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when K.S.V Waregem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip Wilson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Matty Bridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Geraldo de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toby Topham was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Claydon came free, but Blair McCormick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Silva's late challenge caught a K.S.V Waregem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Silva helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by William Silva. 63 minutes into the match, K.S.V Waregem's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo de Godoi came free, but Toby Topham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Taquaral Campineiro's Geraldo de Godoi made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toby Topham was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69thth minute of the game Geraldo de Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but K.S.V Waregem's Toby Topham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th match minute, Taquaral Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Leme to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Blair McCormick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trevor Kempson. The audience was convinced that Geraldo de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toby Topham was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Geraldo de Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toby Topham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Blair McCormick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Slator, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute of the match K.S.V Waregem got a corner. Taquaral Campineiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matty Bridge ran over to the corner to take the kick. Trevor Kempson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Blair McCormick made a huge save. Taquaral Campineiro's Blair McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Crispin Hepburn in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Terry Slator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Ramón Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toby Topham was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 95 minutes into the match, Geraldo de Godoi notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of K.S.V Waregem's Toby Topham. Toby Topham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
