The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Daniel Kipchirchir Pikin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Marcos Akerman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeo Veremundo. Zer Futbol Kulübü's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Akerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Zer Futbol Kulübü's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Akerman came free, but Romeo Veremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franciszek Serwach in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Teuben prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Akerman took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Veremundo. Romeo Veremundo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Zer Futbol Kulübü's Romeo Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Akerman in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Zer Futbol Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burhanettin Karabey to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Akerman in the 33rd minute of play. Richie Vasaburu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franciszek Serwach stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arne Teuben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franciszek Serwach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Paulo Antoñana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Zer Futbol Kulübü's Tan İmdat got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Resulhan Lemi's late challenge caught a Obrero Barquisimeto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Resulhan Lemi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Richie Vasaburu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Teuben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franciszek Serwach, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Zer Futbol Kulübü's Romeo Veremundo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Zer Futbol Kulübü from getting a goal against them. Burhanettin Karabey made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Franciszek Serwach. In the 92nd minute, Gaby Martínez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
