Falah Abou Fakr came out of the goal and Nestor Bâru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 5 played minutes Red Star Beirut got a freekick which was hit by Bakkar Abdul Hakim. In the 6th minute, Nestor Bâru made a precise shot to the right of Falah Abou Fakr. Red Star Beirut's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Red Star Beirut getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bakkar Abdul Hakim hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Bâru in the 16th minute of play forced Red Star Beirut's goalkeeper Falah Abou Fakr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unidad de Matanza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Waldemar Okopny in the 19th minute. Clodoveo Orlin made a great header on Unidad de Matanza's corner, it was just that Red Star Beirut's Falah Abou Fakr managed to reach the ball for a save. If Yannick Bartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Nestor Bâru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unidad de Matanza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 35 minutes into the game, Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falah Abou Fakr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Bâru in the 38th minute of play forced Red Star Beirut's goalkeeper Falah Abou Fakr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falah Abou Fakr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Bâru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Imad Ilias to make the kick off. Unidad de Matanza made a substitution. Falah Abou Fakr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maarten Aelbrecht in the 67th minute of play forced Red Star Beirut's goalkeeper Falah Abou Fakr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lenni Skensved got free with Falah Abou Fakr in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unidad de Matanza's Maarten Aelbrecht suffered a sore thigh after 70 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 70 played minutes Red Star Beirut got a freekick which was hit by Bakri Rashid. Falah Abou Fakr was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Máximo Kirchner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 73 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Michal Stehno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Falah Abou Fakr. That made the score 0-10 in the 77 minute of play. With a little luck, Red Star Beirut's Falah Abou Fakr got control of the ball when Máximo Kirchner tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Red Star Beirut defense, Lenni Skensved kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falah Abou Fakr. The Red Star Beirut fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falah Abou Fakr should have stopped the shot. Falah Abou Fakr came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Unidad de Matanza's Máximo Kirchner. But to his dismay, Máximo Kirchner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. In the 93rd minute, Michal Stehno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Falah Abou Fakr. The goal made the score 0-13. 96 minutes into the match, Red Star Beirut's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Stehno came free, but Falah Abou Fakr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unidad de Matanza's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
