In the 5th minute of the match AFC FUSION got a corner. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dawid Beckham ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dawid Beckham got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frank Frankfurter quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 7th minute Edinson Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinson Haaland in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Rios in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Frankfurter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Chinese CJ Youth Academy defense, Lino Rios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Frankfurter. The Chinese CJ Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Frankfurter should have stopped the shot. Edinson Haaland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Silva in the 29th minute of play forced Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalkeeper Frank Frankfurter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save AFC FUSION from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Chinese CJ Youth Academy defense, Lino Rios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Frankfurter. The Chinese CJ Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Frankfurter should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Wojciech Fiszer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Bai Feng Xiang quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Edinson Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe got control of the ball when Edinson Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edinson Haaland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Eztebe was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The supporters of Chinese CJ Youth Academy booed when AFC FUSION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wojciech Fiszer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinson Haaland in the 42nd minute of play. Edinson Haaland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Eztebe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The Chinese CJ Youth Academy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AFC FUSION were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Rios was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Edinson Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinson Haaland in the 61st minute of the match. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Frank Frankfurter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Chinese CJ Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Frank Frankfurter. Frank Frankfurter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. AFC FUSION's Aureliano Arnau was substituted for Jan Hop. Chinese CJ Youth Academy made a substitution. Günther Doty replaced Edinson Haaland. A sloppy throw-in by Wojciech Fiszer in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Bai Feng Xiang. Günther Doty scored 1-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto Eztebe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Günther Doty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Günther Doty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Eztebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AFC FUSION's Christoff Stocks was substituted for Dawid Beckham. 89 minutes in the game Mario Sesuldo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lino Rios. Lino Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günther Doty in the 93rd minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of AFC FUSION were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Chinese CJ Youth Academy side.
