In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. VILLARREAL UNITED's Baraxil Sarrate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Buckner in the 28th minute of play. VILLARREAL UNITED's attentive Ercole Passalacqua managed to snatch the ball when Pascual Lesardo made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Valentin Voicu made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
