Duro Miner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alfonso Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Alifonso Irureta got a free kick in the 18th minute. Defensores del Ángel Gris's William Gijselinckx quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Maxim Fința, made in the 20th minute of the game. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Leopoldo Aimar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ysmael Marfil in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Gilabert in the 26th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by DINAMO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leopoldo Aimar was slow to take the kick. During this time Defensores del Ángel Gris's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Leopoldo Aimar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ysmael Marfil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Henric Casas kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DINAMO's goalie and right to Bernard Ochabski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DINAMO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Eleuterio Chabier got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Gilabert made a kick off. Ysmael Marfil made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Alfonso Gilabert sent off a good shot on target. Alfonso Gilabert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ysmael Marfil made a huge save. Alfonso Gilabert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ysmael Marfil having to make a save. With a little luck, DINAMO's Ysmael Marfil got control of the ball when Alfonso Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ysmael Marfil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Ochabski, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximino Calvino. When Maxim Fința fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DINAMO's protests and gave Maxim Fința a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's Maxim Fința got a free kick in the 68th minute. Maxim Fința kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duro Miner in the 72nd minute of play forced Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Uriel Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernard Ochabski might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ysmael Marfil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernard Ochabski ran back to his position shaking his head. When Defensores del Ángel Gris's Bernard Ochabski in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DINAMO's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute, Ryszard Borcz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Leo Unzaga got a free kick in the 81st minute. Bernard Ochabski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ysmael Marfil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Defensores del Ángel Gris's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
