Lino Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AFC FUSION's zone, Darryl Buckner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Eztebe came out of the goal and Darryl Buckner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Rios in the 14th minute of play. If Lino Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Rios in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victoriano Bernaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 27 minutes of play, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victoriano Bernaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 29 played minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Rosa. In the 30th minute, Lino Rios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC FUSION fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Leopoldo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Pascual Lesardo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wojciech Fiszer, made in the 38th minute of the game. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Buckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Rios in the 45th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Santo Libertad. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Rios made a kick off. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Pascual Lesardo hit a great ball. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Lino Rios sent off a good shot on target. Pascual Lesardo got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vasile Tufescu. AFC FUSION's Lino Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Hop kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Rios. Santo Libertad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Eztebe having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Lino Rios took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Victoriano Bernaldo to make any attempt to save it. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC FUSION's Lino Rios. But to his dismay, Lino Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After some careless play in the Dep Colonia Avellaneda defense, Lino Rios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. The AFC FUSION supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC FUSION would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
