Constantin Potocianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonello Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantin Potocianu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When Ramachandramurthy Ramachandran fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mapovihesa FC's protests and gave Ramachandramurthy Ramachandran a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Mapovihesa FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramachandramurthy Ramachandran. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Erramu got free with Loco Malo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th match minute, Mapovihesa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argenis Garay to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Teodosio Figueroa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantin Potocianu skillfully saved the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
