When Leicester Lions's Tod Freeman in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Almeyra F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 4thth minute of the game Tod Freeman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almeyra F.C.'s Cristo Colas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Francisco Perico shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grant Blacknell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Rhodes in the 11th minute of play forced Almeyra F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristo Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Leicester Lions were awarded a corner. Michal Budzyn went to the cornerflag to take it. Grant Blacknell didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Cristo Colas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Şükür Hagi went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute Camron Rhodes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camron Rhodes took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristo Colas. Cristo Colas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tod Freeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Colas having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Camron Rhodes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leicester Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camron Rhodes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Patryk Plučinský had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 41st minute, Danilo Remir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Adan Otsoko took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Grant Blacknell to make any attempt to save it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adan Otsoko to make the kick off. Leicester Lions's Grant Blacknell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Locaio in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Otsoko in the 55th minute of play forced Leicester Lions's goalkeeper Grant Blacknell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Danilo Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almeyra F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Remir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Otsoko in the 58th minute of play forced Leicester Lions's goalkeeper Grant Blacknell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Colas made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Mike Wadham sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, John Peacock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Wadham kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Saverio Locaio's late challenge caught a Leicester Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saverio Locaio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Almeyra F.C.'s Saverio Locaio got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th match minute, Almeyra F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Locaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Tod Freeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Colas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camron Rhodes in the 77th minute of play. Grant Blacknell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Sarracino, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Grant Blacknell came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Almeyra F.C.'s Cayetano Sarracino. But to his dismay, Cayetano Sarracino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leicester Lions players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Almeyra F.C..
