In the 4th minute, Geovanni Vianna had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Pepillo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lorenzo Pepillo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Aquiles Nisio's late challenge caught a Vanderslaike FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Nisio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Aquiles Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Santxol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Fonseca in the 11th minute of the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Naldo Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Ranchos's Everardo Santxol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anier Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Obeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Naldo Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vanderslaike FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florentino Obeko. After a rather tough play, Vanderslaike FC's Umberto Soares got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Club Atlético Ranchos's Everardo Santxol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Fonseca in the 37th minute of play. When Umberto Soares fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vanderslaike FC's protests and gave Umberto Soares a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Ranchos booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naldo Fonseca made a kick off. Everardo Santxol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Lopes in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vanderslaike FC's Oswaldo Perez got a free kick in the 56th minute. Anier Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Abreu in the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Naldo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vanderslaike FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Santxol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Umberto Soares hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Anier Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Pepillo in the 73rd minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, José Lopes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Club Atlético Ranchos's Everardo Santxol. Everardo Santxol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Naldo Fonseca in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Everardo Santxol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vanderslaike FC's Ediberto Abraão managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aquiles Nisio in the 87 minute of the game. Everardo Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Naldo Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Vanderslaike FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Fonseca couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Aquiles Nisio in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vanderslaike FC's Ediberto Abraão. In the 94th match minute, Club Atlético Ranchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Pepillo to maneuver through the defense. The Club Atlético Ranchos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vanderslaike FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Vanderslaike FC.
