Aquiles Nisio made in the 47th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Segundo Martinez. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ellis Hoskin scored 14-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Santxol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everardo Santxol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Australian Youth Academy players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
