After a defensive mix-up in Vanderslaike FC's zone, Ellis Hoskin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Sayvion came out of the goal and Ellis Hoskin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vanderslaike FC's Geovanni Vianna quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roy Baba, made in the 7th minute of the game. A collision led to Vanderslaike FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Naldo Fonseca hit a great ball. Anier Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Marquinhos Mønster's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marquinhos Mønster helped the player get up and apologised. A sloppy throw-in by Marquinhos Mønster in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach. In the 19th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 20th minute of play. A beautiful save bye Vanderslaike FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Vanderslaike FC's Marquinhos Mønster got a free kick in the 29th minute. Rodriguinho Dracena got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Naldo Fonseca. Marquinhos Mønster got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Vanderslaike FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Marquinhos Mønster hit a great ball. Ellis Hoskin might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anier Sayvion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ellis Hoskin ran back to his position shaking his head. Oswaldo Perez hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Anier Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ellis Hoskin in the 49th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Garth Brough was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Garth Brough recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anier Sayvion. Garth Brough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After 57 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Garth Brough. With a little luck, Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion got control of the ball when Garth Brough tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anier Sayvion. That made the score 0-3 after 61 minutes of play. Anier Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garth Brough went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Garth Brough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Garth Brough had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Sayvion. Vanderslaike FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garth Brough was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion got control of the ball when Rufus Roach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Australian Youth Academy's attentive Rufus Roach managed to snatch the ball when Rodriguinho Dracena made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Garth Brough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anier Sayvion. The goal made the score 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garth Brough got free with Anier Sayvion in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vanderslaike FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Oswaldo Perez hit a great ball. Australian Youth Academy played a much better game than Vanderslaike FC and deserved their victory. The Vanderslaike FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
