Elvio Rivas made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vanderslaike FC's Bengt-Arne Stor. When Quinto Nobo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Fuerzas Armadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinto Nobo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eufrasio Aranzubia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fuerzas Armadas's supporters rose to their feet, but Eufrasio Aranzubia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anier Sayvion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erivaldo Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Eufrasio Aranzubia fired a really elegant long shot, but Anier Sayvion threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Quinto Nobo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anier Sayvion came out and tried to block the shot, but Quinto Nobo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xerardo Amer to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Oswaldo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Fonseca in the 57th minute of play forced Fuerzas Armadas's goalkeeper Oro Montes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oro Montes having to interfere. Quinto Nobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Anier Sayvion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vanderslaike FC defense, Xerardo Amer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anier Sayvion. The Vanderslaike FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anier Sayvion should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eufrasio Aranzubia came free, but Anier Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eufrasio Aranzubia in the 70th minute of play forced Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xerardo Amer took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anier Sayvion. Anier Sayvion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 73rd minute Eufrasio Aranzubia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fuerzas Armadas's Mateo Bastida got a free kick in the 76th minute. Elvio Rivas made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gaizkine Armada. Urbasa Vazquez got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Elvio Rivas. Anier Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eufrasio Aranzubia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Oswaldo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vanderslaike FC's attentive Bengt-Arne Stor managed to snatch the ball when Elvio Rivas made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. Naldo Fonseca's late challenge caught a Fuerzas Armadas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vanderslaike FC's Naldo Fonseca got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Anier Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinto Nobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fuerzas Armadas booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Arne Stor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fuerzas Armadas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
