Inocencio Frichoso started the match with the kick off. Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Eleazar in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Eleazar came free, but Anier Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Heriberto in the 6th minute of play forced Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Bartolome made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vanderslaike FC's Ediberto Abraão. After 18 played minutes Punta Alvear got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Heriberto. 21 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goal looked a bit too open when José Lopes came free, but Ovidio Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Eleazar in the 23rd minute of play. Inocencio Frichoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Sayvion having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Eleazar in the 36th minute of play forced Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anier Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Eleazar went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Jacinto Eleazar came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Punta Alvear fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Eleazar couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Frichoso came free, but Anier Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vanderslaike FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Punta Alvear were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naldo Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Punta Alvear's Ermegildo Heriberto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anier Sayvion was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 59 minutes, Inocencio Frichoso made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the game, Flavio Izel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Anier Sayvion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocencio Frichoso got free with Anier Sayvion in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion got control of the ball when Inocencio Frichoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ovidio Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Vanderslaike FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Punta Alvear were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
