Adriano Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gregor Schut sent off a good shot on target. TS Wisła Kraków's Adriano Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Sleiffer in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Solarek in the 30th minute of play forced AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Roel Saarberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezary Major in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roel Saarberg saved AVV Zeeburgia from getting behind. When Andrzej Domalik came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the TS Wisła Kraków fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrzej Domalik couldn't finish the play. Lennart Tijink, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Sleiffer to make the kick off. After 61 played minutes AVV Zeeburgia got a freekick which was hit by Han Wilbrink. Tadeusz Solarek's late challenge caught a AVV Zeeburgia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeusz Solarek helped the player get up and apologised. Tadeusz Solarek hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. TS Wisła Kraków had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
