The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Leandro Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lázaro Odon was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Leandro Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lázaro Odon. ESQUIU FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Lázaro Odon came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares. But to his dismay, Leandro Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lázaro Odon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Soares in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by ESQUIU FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leandro Soares was slow to take the kick. During this time Fc Benefica's players had a chance to rest. Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lázaro Odon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 21st minute Leandro Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lázaro Odon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leandro Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. Eustacio Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jens van Basten struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Lázaro Odon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Benefica. Pastor Gonsalve charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pastor Gonsalve the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes ESQUIU FC got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Gonsalve. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESQUIU FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Odon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 43 minutes, Leandro Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Benefica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Eustacio Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Soares made a kick off. Lázaro Odon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leandro Soares went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Leandro Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lázaro Odon, 0-7. Lázaro Odon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leandro Soares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 82 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Kurt-Jürgen Kurri took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Lázaro Odon to make any attempt to save it. ESQUIU FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Leandro Soares scored to the left of an out of position Lázaro Odon, making the score, 0-10. Fc Benefica played a much better game than ESQUIU FC and deserved their victory. The ESQUIU FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
