Erik Cantona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Henric having to make a save. 7 minutes into the match, Azulgranas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Botnen came free, but Leo Henric reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Saga TF were awarded a corner. Billy Backman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Iwo Gendolla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Azulgranas AFC's Leo Henric did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Manuel Cruz in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Forseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erik Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santi Urbieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Leo Henric tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Manuel Cruz in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 30th minute of play forced Azulgranas AFC's goalkeeper Leo Henric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Azulgranas AFC's zone, Santi Urbieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Henric came out of the goal and Santi Urbieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Azulgranas AFC's Leo Henric played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santi Urbieta in the 32nd minute of play. Saga TF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Billy Backman in the 34th minute. The corner led Saga TF's Billy Backman to fire away a dangerous shot which Leo Henric despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Michaël Myers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joachim Forseth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Azulgranas AFC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Saga TF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radomir Naskrent took the corner. After taking down the ball on Azulgranas AFC's corner Radomir Naskrent fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joachim Forseth quite easily take care of the ball. In the 42nd minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Henric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Juan Manuel Cruz made the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute, Saga TF's Erik Cantona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leo Henric. Leo Henric yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 70 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Manuel Cruz came free, but Joachim Forseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michaël Myers in the 72nd minute of play forced Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Naskrent in the 75th minute of play forced Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Erik Cantona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saga TF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Leo Henric made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Erik Cantona sent off a good shot on target. Erik Cantona might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Henric. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Cantona ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Saga TF's Leo Henric threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Erik Cantona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 84th minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Henric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Cantona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Henric read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Leo Henric came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Saga TF's Erik Cantona. But to his dismay, Erik Cantona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Saga TF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saga TF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
