After 39 minutes, Agostinho Vidal made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. R.C. Marseille's Didier Lafargue tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Miroslav Pernický notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of R.C. Agostinho Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didier Lafargue having to interfere.
