SSV Ulm 1846's attentive Afonso Silveira managed to snatch the ball when Gio Lo Celso made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. El Colesterol FC's Nereo Liher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Merlot in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Kryspin Cupial, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th match minute, El Colesterol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gio Lo Celso to maneuver through the defense. Nereo Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Merlot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Don Merlot in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Liher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, SSV Ulm 1846's Nereo Liher threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Don Merlot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nereo Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Su Ting Han, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Su Ting Han who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fidel Joachim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Merlot in the 34th minute of play forced El Colesterol FC's goalkeeper Nereo Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Nereo Liher successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nereo Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Don Merlot came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SSV Ulm 1846 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Merlot couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Su Ting Han came free, but Kryspin Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Joachim in the 47th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Kryspin Cupial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Komang Sunandar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Colesterol FC and the SSV Ulm 1846 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Colesterol FC's Komang Sunandar got a free kick in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Don Merlot was the one to do the kick off. The corner ended in Sven-Olof Lilja almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Colesterol FC's Nereo Liher did a great save. Despite this Nereo Liher quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 69 minutes into the match, El Colesterol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Don Merlot came free, but Nereo Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SSV Ulm 1846's Sven-Olof Lilja quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gio Lo Celso, made in the 70th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, El Colesterol FC's Gio Lo Celso got a free kick in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Fidel Joachim could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Kryspin Cupial however easily saved by the left post. In the 76th minute El Colesterol FC were awarded a corner. Aaron Harri went to the cornerflag to take it. El Colesterol FC's Gonzalo Bergessio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kryspin Cupial in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 81st match minute, El Colesterol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gio Lo Celso to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Su Ting Han cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kryspin Cupial was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Su Ting Han got free with Kryspin Cupial in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonzalo Bergessio made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SSV Ulm 1846's Afonso Silveira. Albrecht Bosbach hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
