Monitor Huáscar's Modestio Cañucal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kryspin Cupial in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Don Merlot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Quiroga in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kryspin Cupial prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kryspin Cupial was a little too slow when Claudio Quiroga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-4. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
