In the 9th match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto de Salles to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Alberto Di Blasio in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Alberto Di Blasio took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 15th minute, Duta Halim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Di Blasio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdir Pérez having to make a save. Alberto Di Blasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Gala's Toto Tualasamony nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Pérez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toto Tualasamony in the 29th minute of the match. Ucok Baba took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 38 minutes into the match, Katon Sahilatua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Katon Sahilatua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Valdir Pérez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duta Halim went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laércio Damião was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Tualasamony in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Toto Tualasamony ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Pérez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. With splendid footwork Alberto Di Blasio arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-9 by the left pole in the game's 58th minute. In the 64th minute, Gala's Duta Halim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Duta Halim might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdir Pérez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duta Halim ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberto Di Blasio spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of União Verde FC's goal. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Tualasamony in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Duta Halim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gala's supporters rose to their feet, but Duta Halim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Pérez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute of the match, Alberto Di Blasio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valdir Pérez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the União Verde FC defense, Toto Tualasamony kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Pérez. The União Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Pérez should have stopped the shot. Toto Tualasamony kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Ucok Baba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ucok Baba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir Pérez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Toto Tualasamony showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 89 minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Gala's Alberto Di Blasio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Pérez narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
