With a little luck, Southern Thrashers's Eliot Pfingst got control of the ball when Sune Svartengren tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Southern Thrashers's Pascal Peters got a free kick in the 9th minute. Eliot Pfingst made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Sandu Musteatã sent off a good shot on target. Eliot Pfingst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Inestrosa in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Ola Toivonen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eliot Pfingst saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eliot Pfingst didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sune Svartengren went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Southern Thrashers's zone, Sune Svartengren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliot Pfingst came out of the goal and Sune Svartengren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Eliot Pfingst managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Aro FC's Sandu Musteatã fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sune Svartengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Eliot Pfingst made a huge save. 28 minutes into the game, one of Southern Thrashers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 30 minutes into the game, Errikos Tsagaris recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliot Pfingst. Errikos Tsagaris showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After having played for 33 minutes, Sune Svartengren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sune Svartengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Sune Svartengren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliot Pfingst was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a little luck, Southern Thrashers's Eliot Pfingst got control of the ball when Errikos Tsagaris tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliot Pfingst made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mats Sigman in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Aro FC's Ola Toivonen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nurkan Salah made a kick off. Eliot Pfingst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sune Svartengren in the 52nd minute of play. Eliot Pfingst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Errikos Tsagaris, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Aro FC's goalkeeper Harry Higuita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nurkan Salah. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Toivonen in the 66th minute of play forced Southern Thrashers's goalkeeper Eliot Pfingst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandu Musteatã recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Southern Thrashers's Battle Minne got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Ola Toivonen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Eliot Pfingst was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Southern Thrashers booed when Aro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qin Jian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nurkan Salah's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Harry Higuita skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Battle Minnes short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Harry Higuita to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Harry Higuita stood somewhat misplaced when Battle Minne came free in front of goal and shot 5-1 to the left of him in the 90 minute. Nurkan Salah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Higuita having to interfere.
