The audience was convinced that Torbjörn Brummer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janne Katt was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Sonstorps Fotboll's Janne Katt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Brummer in the 8th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, StraX Xenon FC's Torbjörn Brummer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janne Katt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 12 minutes, Pelle Smedfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. StraX Xenon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pelle Smedfeldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Ulrik Göransson put in a rough tackle. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for StraX Xenon FC! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Palmkvist in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janne Katt saved Sonstorps Fotboll from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakob Palmkvist in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Janne Katt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to StraX Xenon FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hugo Gernberg hit a great ball. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save StraX Xenon FC from getting a goal against them. Janne Katt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Palmkvist in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Törnblom could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Mattias Olofsson however easily saved by the left post. In the 33rd minute of the match StraX Xenon FC got a corner. Sonstorps Fotboll's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pelle Smedfeldt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jakob Palmkvist scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Janne Katt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jonas Hellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Jakob Palmkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sonstorps Fotboll's Janne Katt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Törnblom to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Semeno. In the 52nd minute, Jonas Hellqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th match minute, StraX Xenon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. Mattias Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Helberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute.
