The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Juoksengi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Jakobsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 4th minute of the match. Mats Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Cordaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Indiana Jones struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Mats Jakobsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club El Progreso. Juoksengi's Mats Jakobsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Juoksengi from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Indiana Jones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mats Jakobsson. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Indiana Jones in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mats Jakobsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Indiana Jones received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mats Jakobsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Indiana Jones slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Matthias Ekegren sped through Club El Progreso's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjamin Tino. The audience was convinced that Indiana Jones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mats Jakobsson was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute of the match, Indiana Jones tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mats Jakobsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Club El Progreso were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Juoksengi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bonifacio Txindoki took the corner. In the 38th minute Indiana Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Club El Progreso's Indiana Jones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mats Jakobsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, Juoksengi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pontus Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Juoksengi's zone, Bonifacio Txindoki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Jakobsson came out of the goal and Bonifacio Txindoki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthias Ekegren made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Indiana Jones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mats Jakobsson was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. A collision led to Juoksengi getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lennart Gunnarsson hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Stor Mønster recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Tino. Stor Mønster showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Mats Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Indiana Jones left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club El Progreso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Club El Progreso made a substitution. Anders Sellberg replaced Adolfo Fidensio. In the 72nd match minute, Club El Progreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephan Testaferrata Bonici to maneuver through the defense. Indiana Jones took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mats Jakobsson. Mats Jakobsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. The Club El Progreso fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Club El Progreso's Indiana Jones looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Juoksengi getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lennart Gunnarsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 82nd minute of play forced Juoksengi's goalkeeper Mats Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthias Ekegren got free with Benjamin Tino in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the game, Billy Torsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juoksengi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club El Progreso the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anders Sellberg couldn't finish the play. If Indiana Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
