After a defensive mix-up in Project X's zone, Collin Grimm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helge Hedström came out of the goal and Collin Grimm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Project X's Helge Hedström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Project X from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute, Collin Grimm reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Helge Hedström. The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Britton in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helge Hedström saved Project X from getting behind. Herb Good took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Knopek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Jean Britton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Helge Hedström. The goal made the score 2-0. Collin Grimm hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Newton in the 21st minute of play. After 25 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Barış Birsoy. Collin Grimm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Helge Hedström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Piechna in the 31st minute of play. Tim Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Project X's Tim Holmgren got a free kick in the 37th minute. Helge Hedström was a little too slow when Jean Britton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-0. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Piechna in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean Britton to strike the kick off in the second half. Project X's Helge Hedström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Project X's goalkeeper Helge Hedström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Jean Britton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helge Hedström. Project X's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Britton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Project X made a substitution. Ingvar Malmberg replaced Ingmar Törnblom. 61 minutes into the match, Project X's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Britton came free, but Helge Hedström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Valente in the 63rd minute of play. Herb Good took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lennart Bäckström. Helge Hedström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Collin Grimm in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when Project X was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingvar Malmberg made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lennart Bäckström. Helge Hedström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Britton in the 76th minute of play. Jerzy Piechna hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Helge Hedström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Britton in the 87th minute of the match. The throw-in from Edgar Termander in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Marcel Lynn. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when Project X was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristoffer Tingelholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herb Good showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Valente in the 93rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Project X defense, Jean Britton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Helge Hedström. The Project X fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Helge Hedström should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans cheered their team off the field, for while Project X had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
