Mamat Darwis started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Palau Końskowola's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Easley came free, but Radomir Pracki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Ascencio in the 4th minute of play. In the 14th minute Du Lei Bin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomir Pracki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Jean Britton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radomir Pracki. Palau Końskowola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Britton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 18th minute of the game Feliks Robak made a throw-in which Ulryk Wierzchowski played forward. Radomir Pracki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Britton in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Jean Britton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radomir Pracki. In the 38th minute Lucjan Kempski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herb Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Palau Końskowola defense, Jean Britton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomir Pracki. The Palau Końskowola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomir Pracki should have stopped the shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Collin Grimm managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Feliks Robak in the 44 minute of the game. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Sam McCain hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Britton to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Jean Britton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Britton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radomir Pracki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean Britton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palau Końskowola made a substitution. Adam Dresik replaced Venancio Ascencio. Herb Good took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Dresik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radomir Pracki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palau Końskowola's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Barış Birsoy was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Lisboa e Benfica's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Barış Birsoy almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palau Końskowola's Radomir Pracki did a great save. Radomir Pracki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Britton in the 83rd minute. Radomir Pracki made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Jean Britton sent off a good shot on target.
